Halloween in Park City 2013

I keep telling my friends outside of Utah that Park City is the best place for Halloween in the universe, but I've lived here eight years and no one has come to visit me yet!  You are missing out, people!  It is literally a spectacle.

And you certainly don't want to miss out on squeezing this little Jack O'lantern, do you?

"Ma, next year I get to pick YOUR costume."

We usually run into dozens of our friends along Main Street as we make our way down the hill and then up again.

Now that looks familiar...

Sissy and Lucy are Park City Halloween regulars.  They love to come see the boys in their costumes, my mom's decorated house and the Main Street festivities.  They need to hurry up and move here already!

Liam's favorite part of the day…the gourmet cotton candy handed out at Chimayo.  Only in PC.

Liam, strike a pose!  This is what we get; Liam's version of The Thinker.

And occasionally you have to shield your children from seeing something like this and having night terrors for weeks...

It looks like this little knight just returned from a tough battle.

Park City Potheads.

Driving home, we looked around and agreed; we live in the best place in the world.

We made a quick stop at our cute Lithuanian neighbor's house.  Liuda loves our boys and was happy to receive her only trick-or-treaters this year!

And no, Halloween night is not too late to carve a pumpkin.  Hey, we're lucky if we get to take showers around here.  After carving, we turned on some Halloween music and had a family dance party in the living room.  These are the times I'll look back on when I'm older and smile from ear to ear.

Happy Halloween 2013!
