Easter Morning

I think it's a cruel joke to expect a toddler and a preschooler to sit through church meetings KNOWING that the bunny has visited their home and have to wait to see the goods until the return home.  The injustice!  I totally support teaching kids the true meaning of Easter and we certainly have done plenty of that, but couldn't the stake at least schedule all meetings after 11am on holidays?!  End rant.  Easter church get-ups certainly make for darling photo ops...

Finally!  Basket time.  The bunny did well this year.  He brought the boys books, socks, treats and their very own mini-Books of Mormon.  He also brought Grammy and Papa!

Easter Egg Hunt time!  Aiden did not understand the concept of gently placing the hard-boiled eggs in the basket. A few did not survive.

Miss Liuda was kind enough to bring us more hand-decorated eggs so that we could do our annual Lithuanian egg-cracking contest.  Mamma won!  Honorable mention goes to Aiden E. Charles.

And my favorite part...eating hard-boiled eggs for breakfast.  Check out this handsome boy.  Have you EVER?!

Happy Easter!

Easter Eve at the Zermatt

On Easter Eve
We festivitied
At the Zermatt Resort in Midway.
With baskets in hand,
Two boys probed the land
And met a white bunny along the way.

A carousel, bounce house and colorful clowns
Met eager munchkins of all ages.
Mamma took 300 pictures, of course
And didn't collect any wages.

Popcorn and candy
The Egg Hunt was dandy
An annual celebration not to be missed.
But a word of warning
Don't steal treats from your offspring
Or they are sure to be quite pissed!

On our way home, we stopped by the Knight's in-progress home where Liam got to take a ride in the cherry-picker truck (against my better judgement)!
