Summer Swim Lessons

Some of my favorite childhood memories are of summer swim lessons outdoors.  I'm hoping Aiden and Liam will carry these memories with them as well--or at least Liam because Aiden wants nothing to do with water after this last session!  He was totally fine with it before instructors started insisted he perform; he sat on the side of the pool during much of the last several classes as if to say "I'll blow bubbles when I'm good and ready, dangit."  Liam is progressing and I think enjoys it.  We were not impressed with the PCMC program, though, which did not help them advance as much as they could have.  I am thankful we have since discovered semi-private lessons at Ecker Hill with an excellent teacher.  Of course, the best part of summer swim lessons was most definitely climbing the rock wall with their girlfriends after every class.

Painting in July

It was one of those days.  One of those unspeakable days of motherhood...the one where you want to put yourself in time out in the pantry and gorge yourself on marshmallows and Nutella, where you think less than loving thoughts of your precious little ones.  I called my mom in desperation-- she always knows what to do-- and she told me "Get out the paint!"  Worked like a charm.  Thank you, Grammy-Mojo!

Isla's Blessing

There is a new precious baby girl in the Charles family and her name is Isla Jane.  I'm in love.  She is perfect in every way and we celebrated her new little life at the Jones' awesome home in Draper.  Her daddy gave the most beautiful blessing and everyone fawned over her.  I'm so happy for her family who continues to hold the corner market on girls!

Also in the news: I have cute boys.  Take a gander.
