Ice Skating: It's Not for Everyone

As part of the mini-reunion this year, we embarked on an ice skating adventure at the Park City Ice Arena.  Liam was one of the first-timers and while he was at first intrigued, it ended up being a very long (and funny) couple of hours on the ice.

And we're off!

Liam temporarily forgot how to use his legs and relied entirely on Wes's brute strength.  (And Wes felt it for a week.)

If you were watching closely, you would have seen a collision every minute or two.  It was like watching half a dozen Bambi's on the frozen pond.

I stood on the sidelines with Aiden and made fun of all of the grownups.  (That is, until I made my way out there and made a dork of myself.)

Skating is exhausting.

Travis had knee surgery today due to a torn ACL, aggravated by this very moment...

Later, Wes recruited some help from Kevin, who is always willing to pitch in.  You'd be surprised how hard it is to stay in one position holding up a limp noodle for long periods of time.

My little hockey babies...

Or not.

Ice skating is not for everyone.

If you were to see Liam and Grandpa out on the ice at the same time, you could tell who was who, but the skating would be about the same...
Good on ya for tryin Liam...
