Late Night Paint Parties

We once again have tested the bounds of our friendship with the Jacksons.  They were in transition between renting out their Park City house for a year and being able to move into Molly's parents' house, and needed a place to stay for nine days, so we obliged.  And let me tell you, gosh darnit, we're still friends.  In fact, I grew so accustomed to having them around for every meal, playtime with the kids, clean-up, and piano/singing jam sessions etc, that I kind of…miss them.  Although, it is nice to be able to walk around in underwear again.  Wes had to actually put on clothes to go to work in the morning!  Tough life.

The Jackson's stay (totally by coincidence) coincided with Wes's new office painting project.  Molly and Vic have done this a few times before and totally took the lead.  Molly is a master at painting straight lines; she didn't even need to use painter's tape.  Thanks for your help, guys!

Wes and I are kind of disappointed with the color we chose.  We thought it would be darker and feel a bit warmer, but it's actually lighter than the ceiling, which looks weird.  Lessen learned.

Fun times with our buddies.  Now that they're living in South Jordan for a year, I guess we'll have to make new friends.  But don't ask us if you can stay with us for nine days, because chances are, we just don't love you as much as the Jacksons!

Liam thought Peter moved in for good and he was in hog's heaven the entire time.  It was nonstop FUN for those two.  And while Aiden is still terrified of little girls half his size, I think he warmed up to Zoe and accepted the fact that she'd be around for awhile.  They tolerate each other.

Before they left, they totally helped me clean-up and even left a treat bag for us complete with socks for Liam, a can-opener for Wes (you would know why if you've ever tried to open a can at our house), dark chocolate for me and for the grand finale...Jimmy the Window Washer!  We love you, Jacksons!
