Miss Nanette

I've known Nanette Willhite since I was just a few months older than Liam.  My family lived next door to her and her husband, Bruce (Mr. B) in San Diego in the early 80s.  I remember hanging out in their hot tub watching hot air balloons land on the baseball field down the hill in the backyard.  They're basically family.  We've spent many a Christmukah and family vacation with them over the years.  My mom and Nanette are BFFs, but I think Liam is fighting Mom for the spot...

Miss Nanette came for a week for some much-needed "girl time."  It's nice knowing there is someone else out there as OBSESSED with The Bachelor as I am.  Come on, you know you love it.

I'm so glad Miss Nanette got to get to know my little munchkin.  (Liam calls her "Nett.")  Now, we need to get Mr. B out here ASAP.  They're sure to be fishing buddies.

They look like they could be sisters! They probably act like it, too:) So cool that your mama has someone she is that close to...her "one in a million." They're priceless and hard to find.

Of course, it doesn't hurt when they dress like macey and gracie. Unintentionally, of course!

I too love the Bachelor. More so this season because I dated Michelle's brother in college and couldn't believe that, there she was, on the Bachelor! She was really kind of a little witch, wasn't she? Although, I think so much of that was produced. So who's it going to be? My money is on Chantel even though I like Emily better.

Wasn't it SO FUN having my best buddy in the whole UNIVERSE here!? And it was great that you could spend time with us, Rach!!! Nanette has been a member of our family for a long time (26 years)... and aren't we so fortunate to have her in our lives!!!? (and, of course, Mr. B. as well!!!)

She is the one friend in my life that, if necessary, I know I could wrap up my life in cellophane with a big pink bow, hand it to her... and have every confidence that she'd care for it as well as her own. That's the quality of friend/s I pray for you, Rach...

Will we EVER forget: "A Tale of Two Cities" and the lead actor, WHOA!!!.. :-); the dinner from hell at Squatter's (Liam was so tired, he could hardly hold up his sweet little head!); meeting the quadruplets and their adorable Mom; the awesome dinner at Ghidotti's (remember how Liam "begged" Papa to take him too, ha! And, he was an angel just like he promised Papa he would be... :-); and just hangin' out/visiting!!!? (It was so special to see Liam bond with "Nett!" And I love it that he wants to call her frequently now!)

Nanners and I also got in 2 more of the ten Best Movies
up for Oscars, a two and a half hour lunch at the St. Regis/I highly recommend the mussels... and riding the funicular was awesome! (and about 10 other meals all over town...). There was a rumor circulating of some shopping done on Main Street... but surely you understand how vicious gossip spreads... :-) (We didn't get up to the Montage so we'll save that for next time, dog-gone-it!)

All in all, it was a fantastic week, one made even more spectacular by the presence of Rach and Liam!!! Thanks, Sweet Ones!!!

PS-Re: The Bachelor... Brad is much more comfy with Chantal O. but is very attracted to Emily as well... He also bonded with Chantal's Dad... So, even though it's seemed it would be Emily from the start... I'm going out on a limb and say it'll be Chantal. "Miss Annette" votes Emily... But she likes Skittles! (inside joke!) :-)

Also, if Casey Abrams isn't the next American Idol... I'll eat Liam's new shoe! Ha!
