My gracious host, Kathleen, was kind enough to take Liam and me to Chrissy Fields and Pier 39. Liam was still wary of the ocean, sand and wind, but is now obsessed with sea lions.

And of course, Liam insisted on calling Grammy and Papa to tell them all about the sea lions...

It was lovely to hear from you, Sweet Liam! We are so happy you like the Sea Lions! Aren't they just so interesting? And you know how to "bark" just like them! Good job, Baby!!!
Did you know when I was little like you, my Papa also used to take me to see them there? There used to be many herds of them then... from about 1950-1952.
I hope one day we can see the Sea Lions with you... Maybe this summer in La Jolla, hmmm? Let's ask Mama & Dada, okay? Fun!!! We love you, our Gorgeous, Darling,
