I have decided: July 4th is the best of all holidays. Nothing beats playing outside in the warm sunshine, eating BBQ and watermelon, celebrating the birth of our great country, watching fireworks and NOT spending a bunch of money. And there is no better place to celebrate it than Park City (PC actually has most of the holidays DOWN) where the best of Americana meets the beautiful mountainside. We are blessed.
The Astills have become close friends. We frequently spend Friday or Sunday nights breaking bread together, playing cards and watching movies at their house until the wee hours. The boys have become accustomed to going to sleep there and waking up at our house. I'm so glad; Wes needed a buddy in his age group :-)
Aiden ordered his very first snow cone all by himself! Such a grownup.
BFFs. I swear we spend almost every day of the summer together. Love those Van Der Veurs.
