Hallow's Eve

Park City has steep driveways.  This makes traditional trick-or-treating somewhat of a challenge, particularly on icy evenings.  For this reason, a few of the wards in town hold an annual Trunk-or-Treat usually the night before Halloween, where munchkins can walk safely from car to car in the church parking lot to get the goods.  Some ward members turn their trunk spaces in haunted vehicles complete with dry-ice and spooky sound effects, while others opt for simplicity.  Liam and Aiden had a blast this year, although most cars ran out of candy after only ten minutes or so!  Those Mormons have lots of kids.

Our huge Costco bags of candy lasted less than five minutes.  One piece per kid, Weston!

Check out the Wilton Party Van!

I recently saw a comic strip where two kids, bundled up in snow gear from head to foot, ask each other what they are for Halloween.  The first says "I'm Superman."  The second, a Ninja.  Then they nod depressingly, acknowledging each other's effort which is all for naught in cold climates.  So true!  Isn't this ladybug darling?

After sprinting from car to car, we decided to get warm for a few minutes in the party van.

After the Trunk-or-Treat, we made a stop at Grammy's house...

Of course, she was prepared.

We need to work on Wes's hippie look.  The peace sign faces out, Weston!

My little "kunkin."
