Near the end of summer, we were invited to go to the Discovery Gateway with our dear friends, Erika and Dempsey Martin. My boys always have a blast there; it satisfies every single sensory stimulation need. In recent news, Erika and Jared have added a new member to their cute family. Last week, they adopted a brand new baby girl, whom they named Mckenna Ann Martin. (Our sweet friend, Brienne Brown, just recently lost her newborn daughter to a rare chromosomal defect called trisomy 18. Brienne's daughter's name was Mckenna, so the name holds special meaning to those who know her.) Congratulations to Jared, Erika and Dempsey! Adoption really is a miraculous thing. We followed up the Discovery center with a frozen yogurt treat. I had Caramel Popcorn and OH. MY. GOSH. It doesn't sound like it would be great, but let me tell you...
