How to throw a Fabulous Baby (GIRL) Shower:
1) Find someone you love in your vicinity who is expecting a girl and commit to co-host. This could be challenging, as something in Utah water produces an unusually high percentage of boy births.
2) Find darling, girly invitations for a quarter of the regular price, print them out, stamp/address and send to ~40 family and friends. This is time consuming, but is SO much cuter than an email. Old school is quite often the better call.
3) Be on the look-out for cute decorative ideas in boutique stores or other showers and blatantly steal them.
4) Plan games, coordinate food/drinks with hostess and make as much as you can the night before.
5) Set up, think girly thoughts, mingle, photo-document, and shower the mama with lots of PINK.
6) Hope that one day you will be expecting your own baby girl and inherit girly hand-me-downs from said shower. (Cross fingers, toes, eyeballs, etc! Dear Heavenly Father, please bless that Rachael gets a girl one day. Amen.)
It was such a pleasure to help plan Tracie's baby shower for little Charly Kiana, due in December. It couldn't have gone better and it was wonderful to see Tracie so happy in anticipation of her fourth baby but first and only girl. That's not to say there is anything wrong with baby boys! Nope, not a thing.
Ambree is also expecting a baby girl in December...it's raining pink! What's happening?
Mama Kath killed herself cleaning and preparing for this event...SO many thanks to her for all of her hard work. She was in bed the following day with an upset stomach and I was in bed with a mean case of mastitis! Hosting is not for sissies.
I cannot wait to meet my sweet little niece. If anyone knows what she will likely endure with a bunch of older brothers, it is her Mamma and Auntie. Sorry, if you have sisters, you absolutely can't relate. It's a miracle we even survived girlhood with all of that testosterone! Good luck, Charly :-) Love you, Trace. Thanks, Uncle Mike, for watching Liam during the festivities...he had a blast!
This is Tracie telling me I'd BETTER Dropbox these pictures OR ELSE.
Bets on whether Charly is going to take after Tracie or Mike? :-)
Could this face be any sweeter?

Tracie had an absolute great time with her baby shower. Thanks to you Rachael, and all of the folks who supported Tracie. Kathryn was tops in hosting such a wonderful event.
Now, hoping for a beautiful little healthy baby girl...that will be a fitting conclusion, and a new beginning for the entire Charles family.
Oh my goodness. Love this. Save that crazy picture of me at the bottom. (but that's what I look like in real life, so I may as well stop pretending, huh?) Loved the party. Made Charly's impending arrival so much more exciting and real. XOXOXOXOXO to you and my mama! Can't wait to return the favor...for you, not my mom...that's just wrong.
